Dentistry
Dental medicine and oral medicine. Includes the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases and conditions of the mouth, teeth, soft tissues and bones of the jaws.
Treatments Provided
Examination of teeth, soft tissues, radiographs
Dental hygiene – Cleaning of teeth, removal tartar build up and stain, polishing, flossing, and application of fluoride
Radiographs (x-rays) bite wings to check for cavities
Restoration of teeth with tooth colored filling materials, crowns, veneers, and bridges
Root canals – removal of the pulp and nerve tissue from the inside of the tooth
Replacement of teeth following the placement of implants
Removable teeth such as complete dentures, implant supported dentures, or removable partial dentures.
Extractions – removal of teeth
